Highrise Rescue, Ocean City, Maryland

11/8/2007 – Just after 1300 hours Ocean City Communications alerted emergency crews for a reported High-rise Rescue at the Capri Condos at 110th Street. While responding crews were advised that a male subject who was caulking windows at the Capri fell from scaffolding and was hanging from his belay. Lt Tim Jerschied of the OCVFC, arrived on location and advised the situation as reported and the subject was conscious.

The crew from the Career Paramedic Engine responded in Tower 6. The Tower took a position on the North side of the structure and laddered the 6th floor.

The patient was removed from his harness and lowered to the ground to awaiting EMS crews. The patient was transported to PRMC by Paramedic 4. OCVFC Chief 50 had command.
