2 accidents within 7 hours on Three Bridge Branch Rd. – Cordova, Md

7/11/2009 – At 10:59 AM Talbot Center dispatched Station 50 (Cordova) for an Ambulance and Paramedic 90 for a traumatic injury on Three Bridge Branch Road in the area of Church Lane. Upon the arrival of Paramedic 51 and Paramedic 90, found there was one patient that had fallen from the back of a pickup and suffered a head injury. After patient assessment, aviation was requested and Station 50 was alerted for an Engine to set up a landing zone. Officer 503 (L. Larmore) arrived in Engine 51 and established a landing zone approximately ¾ of a mile from the accident scene in an open field. One patient was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition by Trooper 6. ** PHOTOS 7-13 **

Approximately 7 hours later at 6:16 PM, Talbot Center dispatched Station 50 and Paramedic 90 for a 10-50 PI with rollover in front of 10877 Three Bridge Branch Road (approximately 3 miles from the previous accident). Engine 51 arrived on location and Officer 501 (M. Secrist) reported one vehicle overturned and established command. The only occupant of the vehicle was out and transported to Memorial Hospital at Easton by Paramedic 90 with minor injuries. The accident is under investigation by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office. ** PHOTOS 1-6 **
