Shed Fire with Exposure – Wolcott Street – Harrington, Del.

11/29/2009 – Around 21:55, Kent Center alerted Station 50 (Harrington) for a structure fire with exposures in the 100 block of Wolcott Street in Harrington and directing units to operate on K-TAC4. Command 50 with 50-17 (Assistant Chief Robbie Brode) went responding shortly after and was advised it was believed this is a shed behind a house, fully involved. 50-15 (Chief Derrick Brode) arrived on scene first confirming the report of the shed completely involved, passing command to 50-17. Command directed Engine 50-1 to come up the wrong way on Dorman Street and drop a supply line from the hydrant at Wolcott and Dorman. The crew from 50-1 pulled two CAFS lines, one to attack the shed fire and the other to the rear of the house to protect the exposure. Quick work was made and after some minor overhaul, the scene was turned over to FM-13 for investigation.
