5/23/2011 – At 5:03pm Wicomico Central alerted Salisbury Stations 2, 16 and 1 to a reported garage fire on the 300 block of E. Gordy Rd. Thick black smoke was visable from several blocks away, and when the first officer arrived the garage was already fully involved. An additional tanker was requested from Station 74 (Delmar). The garage is believed to be a total loss, as is a Honda sedan parked in the driveway. Minor damage was done to the backside of the adjacent house from heat. The situation was placed under control in about 25 minutes. The fire marshal’s office is investigating.
