Fully Involved House Fire – 416 Dean Rd. – Centreville, Md.

4/17/2012 – At approximately 12:16 PM Queen Anne’s County dispatched Station 4 (Goodwill), Station 2 (Grasonville), Station 3 (Queenstown), Station 5 (Church Hill) and Talbot County Station 80 (Queen Anne-Hillsboro) for a working structure fire at 416 Dean Road. Chief 2 (S. McCombs) arrived on location to find a two story wood framed farm house well involved and established command. Engine 52 arrived first, laying a supply line up the driveway with Engine 32 completing the lay upon their arrival. Command requested the Tanker Task Force, which brought additional apparatus from Talbot Co. Station 50 (Cordova), Caroline Co. Station 400 (Ridgely), Station 600 (Greensboro) and Queen Anne’s Co. Station 6 (Sudlersville). The bulk of the fire was knocked down with the deck gun on Engine 52 and then several attack lines were placed into service to finish extinguishing the remaining fire. Units began clearing the scene at 2:50 PM.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office.
