8/3/16 – Caroline dispatched Station 400 (Ridgely), Station 600 (Greensboro), Paramedic 13 and Paramedic 16 for an MVC reported serious at the intersection of Ridgely Road and Holly Road. Units arrived on location to find a pickup in the roadway with extensive damage and the driver heavily entrapped. After further investigation a tractor-trailer, which was involved in the accident, was found approximately a ¼ mile down the road in a corn field. After extrication and patient evaluation, the driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by Trooper 6 and the driver of the pickup was transported to a local facility by Paramedic 16 with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident was investigated by the Maryland State Police.
