Controlled Burn – Allen Md.

1/9/2010 – On 1-9-10 the Allen Volunteer Fire Department conducted a controlled burn on Allen Rd. They had a large house, barn and pile of trees to be burn. Do to the structure being so close to power lines the call was made to just knock down the home. Crews were able to practice breaching walls on the inside, making ventilation holes on the roof and learn forcible entry on doors. The barn and pile of brush was burned. Crews from Allen along with Sta.3 Fruitland were protecting several propane and oil tanks from the heat. Allen Rd was closed during the drill with the use of Fire Police from both companies.

I want to thank Sta.15 Allen for the invite to come down and shoot their drill.
