Chicken House Fire – St Lukes Rd – Fruitland

2/6/2009 – On Friday February 6, 2009 at 09:30 Wicomico central alerted Stations 3(Fruitland), 1(Salisbury), and 15(Allen) for a reported chicken house fire.
On arrival the the Crew of Engine 301 laid 3inch Supply line and 3-18(C.Twilley) established command with working chicken house fire. The
crew of engine 301 pulled 2 1 3/4 attack lines and started interior attack with 3-19 having interior. Engine 1 arrive on location and pulled around
to the back side of the structure and pulled an additional 1 3/4 attack line to assist with interior attack. On the arrival of 1503 the crew assisted
with interior attack. The crews of engine 301 and engine 1 found several small fires in the insulation and quickly knocked the fire. Tanker 305,
306 and Engine Tanker 1-1 assisted with water supply. The fire was placed under control around 10:30 hrs and all units remained on location
for overhaul. At around 12:00 command released all units with the exception of engine 301. Command was terminated and engine 301 cleared
the seen around 13:15.
