Serious MVC with entrapment – Shore Highway – Denton, Md.

5/29/2010 – At approximately 12:45 PM Caroline dispatched Station 300 (Denton) and Paramedic 13 for a serious MVC with entrapment at the intersection of Shore Highway (Route 404) and Station Road. Units arrived to find two vehicles involved with two occupants trapped in one vehicle. Officer 317 (D. Higgs) established “Shore Highway” command and requested Aviation. After further patient assessment, Command requested a 2nd helicopter. Maryland Trooper 6 and Delaware Trooper 2, each transported one patient to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Two other patients were transported to Memorial Hospital at Easton with minor injuries.

The accident is being investigated by the Maryland State Police.
